This policy applies to the karrera.ai website. The Karrera platform has its own Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy of the karrera.ai website is an English translation of its Política de Privacidade, provided for convenience. If the two versions ever differ, the Portuguese version prevails.

1. Who we are

Karrera is a platform that helps you build a living record of your professional life and understand its value. This website presents the platform and lets you join the waitlist for its launch.

The website and the Karrera platform are run by KARRERA AI TECNOLOGIA LTDA (CNPJ 57.243.514/0001-95, "KARRERA AI"), responsible for the processing of your personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

• Waitlist: when you join the waitlist, we collect your name and email and, if you choose to answer, your professional profile, your interests and your age range. We also record when you agreed to these terms.
• Access logs: like every website, KARRERA AI's server records each access, including your IP address, the page accessed and the date and time. That is how we count the website's visits, without cookies.
• Google Analytics, if you accept it: how you use the website, for example which pages you visit and how you found it. See section 6.
• Your cookie and language choice: kept in your browser, so that it is respected on your next visits.

3. What we use your data for

• Waitlist (with your consent): to tell you about the launch of the Karrera platform, keep you informed about the platform and understand who is interested in it.
• Access logs (legal obligation and KARRERA AI's legitimate interest): to keep the website secure, count its visits and comply with Brazil's Marco Civil da Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014), which requires keeping these logs.
• Google Analytics (with your consent): to understand how the website is used and improve it.

We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

• Google Cloud (hosting): stores the website, the waitlist's data and the access logs, in the United States (see section 5).
• Google Analytics: receives how you use the website, only if you accept its cookies. It keeps the data of each visit for 2 months, and the data associated with your browser for 14 months.
• When the law requires it: to comply with a legal obligation or a request from the authorities, or to protect KARRERA AI's rights.

5. International transfer

The website and your data are on Google Cloud, in the United States, and Google Analytics also processes data outside Brazil. We make these transfers as the LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law) allows, based on your consent and on the standard contractual clauses approved by Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), which are part of KARRERA AI's agreement with Google Cloud.

6. Cookies

• Google Analytics (optional): the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies tell visits apart and group them into sessions. They last up to 2 years and are only created if you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. Before you choose, or if you decline, the website doesn't even connect to Google Analytics.
• Your choice: kept in your browser's local storage (karrera-cookie-consent) until you clear it. It needs no consent, because it is what lets your choice be respected.

You can change your choice at any time in "Cookie settings", in the website's footer. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics' cookies are deleted.

7. How long we keep it

• Waitlist: until you ask to leave the list.
• Access logs: 6 months, as the Marco Civil da Internet requires.
• Google Analytics: 2 months for the data of each visit, and 14 months for the data associated with your browser, in Google Analytics.
• Your cookie choice: in your browser, until you clear it.

8. Security

All the website's traffic uses HTTPS, and the waitlist's data is kept in a database that only authorized members of KARRERA AI's team can access. No system is completely secure: if we learn of an incident that may put you at risk, we will tell you and the authorities, as the law requires.

9. Your rights

Under the LGPD, you have the right to:

• Confirmation and access: know whether we process your data, and get a copy of it.
• Correction of data that is incomplete, inaccurate or out of date.
• Anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive, or processed against the law.
• Portability of your data.
• Deletion of the data processed with your consent, such as the waitlist's.
• Information about who we share your data with (section 4), and about what happens if you don't give your consent.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Object to processing that doesn't comply with the law.

How to exercise them:

• To leave the waitlist, or for any other request, write to the address in section 11. We answer within 15 days.
• To withdraw your consent to Google Analytics, use "Cookie settings", in the website's footer.

You can also file a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, ANPD).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in KARRERA AI's practices or in the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date of its last update. If a change affects how we use the waitlist's data, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
